An 18-year-old man shot to death on Christmas Day, making him Toronto's 60th homicide victim of 2010, has been formally identified.

Toronto police confirmed Wednesday in a news release that Jordan Hosten is the person found at 200 Woolner Ave., just west of Jane Street and about a half-kilometre north of St. Clair Avenue West, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Dec. 25.

He was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

The shooting occurred in the fourth-floor hallway of an apartment complex at about 4 p.m.

A second shooting also took place Saturday at a bus stop near Jane Street and Dundas Street West, which is slightly south of St. Clair.

The victim in that case went home before being taken to Trillium hospital in Mississauga Saturday evening with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police believe the two shootings might be linked and that up to three people may have been involved.
