One man is dead after a fatal shooting at a house party in north Scarborough early Sunday morning.

Police say four male suspects were seen driving away from the scene near Finch Avenue and Neilson Road in a silver car, possibly a Honda or a Neon.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses who were at the party on Dunsfold Cres., located in the Malvern community. Neighbours told police they heard sounds of gunshots and saw a man lying in the front of the home motionless at around 6 a.m.

The victim was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. He is believed to be in his mid-twenties. Police haven't released his name.

Investigators are also looking into the victim's background for any clues to why he was involved in an altercation.

Neighbours said the situation has left them unnerved.

"There are a lot of small children in this neighbourhood," said one man. "It's very scary. Very scary."

One girl told CTV Toronto the house belongs to her uncle and that he was shocked at the turn of events at his party.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS or the homicide squad at 416-808-7400.
