Toronto police have made an arrest in the February killing of a 30-year-old Centennial College student.

Alexis Eracleous was gunned down inside his ground-level apartment on Feb. 10. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

The day after Eracleous was killed, police held a press conference to say that a surveillance camera captured images of two people leaving his apartment building, moments after his killing.

Police say drugs and robbery may have played a role in the shooting that led to his death.

Eracleous was Toronto's seventh homicide victim of 2009.

Investigators said the suspects were in the building, which is located in the Kennedy Road and Highway 401 area, for only three-and-a-half minutes.

Police announced Saturday that Joseph Leitch, 19, of Toronto, had been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Leitch is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Sunday morning.

But police are still looking for a second suspect. He is described as a black male in his early to mid-20s, about six feet tall and approximately 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing rimmed glasses, a black hoodie, a black Carhartt jacket, dark pants and Nike running shoes.

Police say the second suspect was armed with a handgun.
