Police in York region are seeking the public's help in identifying two male suspects who robbed a male victim at gunpoint earlier this week in Markham.

Police say the victim was walking on a pathway between Denison Street and Stather Crescent, when he was approached by two men at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

One of the men put a gun to the back of his head, the other pulled out a knife.

The man was robbed of his cellphone and iPod.

The assailants fled the scene on foot, but were captured on TTC video prior to the incident.

Police have released images and descriptions of the two suspects.

The suspect accused of carrying a gun is described as a black male who is between 18 and 20 years old. He is about six feet tall and weighs an estimated 170 pounds. He was wearing a brown jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt and wore a blue bandana over his face.

The suspect accused of carrying a knife is also described as a black male in the same age range. He weighs an estimated 170 pounds and stands 5'7" in height. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jogging pants and a black baseball hat at the time of the robbery.
