York police have laid murder charges after the body of a woman was found inside a Richmond Hill condominium early Saturday morning.
Police say they attended the condo complex on Yonge Street, north of Elgin Mills Road, shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday after receiving a call about unknown trouble.
The body of a woman was found inside one of the units. Police initially said the death was being treated as suspicious.
A man was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder.
The identity of the woman and the suspect have not been released.
Police say a coroner is expected to attend the scene some time on Saturday.
