Hamilton police have released the name of a second suspect in the death of a 23-year-old man.

A warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for 27-year-old Gavin Storer, who was at large after a man was found dead in a Hamilton apartment building early Sunday morning.

Police said they responded to calls for a disturbance and possible shots fired around 1 a.m. and found a 23-year-old man dead in the building at 130 St. Joseph's Drive.

The victim, identified as Shaheen Sherzady, lived in the apartment building.

The Emergency Response Unit saw two males leaving the area, and ordered them to stop -- both fled.

The first suspect, 23-year-old Omar Williams of Brampton, was charged with first-degree murder when he was found in a schoolyard near the crime scene on Sunday.

Det. Sgt. Ian Matthews has said the killing probably stemmed from a robbery gone wrong.

Police would not reveal what the men were after or if Sherzady knew his attackers, but Matthews says the suspects specifically targeted Sherzady.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers.
