Toronto Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found with severe head injuries behind a west-end mall Friday evening.
Police said emergency services received a call around 6:30 pm after a woman in her 40s was found in a laneway near Dufferin Mall in the Dufferin Street and Bloor Street area.
The woman, who was not breathing when emergency officials arrived, was transported to St. Michael's hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She later died in hospital.
Police do not know how the victim sustained the injuries.
