Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed in Etobicoke on Wednesday night.

The stabbing occurred behind a building on Kendleton Drive, near Kipling Avenue and Albion road, shortly after 9 p.m.

Paramedics said the man suffered multiple stab wounds and was without vital signs when he was rushed to hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

The victim is believed to be in his late 40s.

No one is in custody, police told CP24 reporter Katie Simpson.

The stabbing was one of two homicides that occurred in the GTA on Wednesday night.

In Newmarket, one man was killed and a second was wounded in a double stabbing near Davis Drive and Huron Heights Drive.

In another incident, a man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed at a bar near Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East, police said.
