Toronto police are trying to determine what led to the violent death of a man and women at a west-end apartment building Friday morning.
The woman was found inside an apartment on Eglinton Avenue, east of Keele Street, with severe stab wounds. She was in grave condition when emergency personnel arrived at around 7:30 a.m. but later died at the scene, according to EMS.
The man was found on the ground outside the building without vital signs. Police say they believe he fell from a balcony.
Toronto police said their investigation is in the early stages and are still trying to determine if they are dealing with a murder suicide.
Investigators are at the scene of the incident, interviewing potential witnesses and looking for any evidence that will help them piece together what happened.
