COBOURG, Ont. - Ontario Provincial Police have released the names of two people killed in a fiery crash on a stretch of Highway 401 in eastern Ontario last Thursday.

Police say Robert Genest, 42, of McMasterville, Que., died after his transport truck struck the rear of a gasoline tanker truck that erupted into a massive fireball.

Police also confirmed media reports that Jenny Donald, 64, of London, Ont., was killed when she was struck by another vehicle after exiting her car.

Eleven people were injured in the 30-vehicle pileup in Cobourg, Ont., which forced eastbound lanes of Canada's busiest highway to remain closed for more than 24 hours.

A funeral for Donald, who was on her way to visit a friend east of Cobourg, will be held on Thursday in London.

Police say their investigation continues into the crash, which occurred during a blinding snowstorm.
