Police have identified a man who was found dead on a lawn in Etobicoke on Sunday.

Edwin Villan’s body was found on the lawn of a home on Midden Crescent, near Martin Grove Road and The Westway, around 7 a.m. Sunday.

During a press conference on Monday, police said the 33-year-old Villan was shot in the head. He was not known to police.

Investigators have released a description of a man wanted in connection with the case.

Officers describe the man as white, between the ages of 30 to 40 years old and approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall. He was last seen wearing a light-coloured shirt, baseball cap and beige pants.

On Sunday, police released a statement seeking the suspect’s vehicle, which they described as a late-model, dark-colour Sierra or Silverado pickup truck with aftermarket tires and rims. They also seized a portion of a damaged hubcap from the scene.

Investigators are now asking for the public’s help as they proceed with the investigation.
