Toronto Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 21-year-old Uber driver wanted in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a female passenger.
Police allege a male driver picked up a 25-year-old woman in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue on Tuesday. He allegedly drove the woman to her home in the Lawrence Avenue West and Avenue Road area and sexually assaulted her before she got out of the vehicle.
Police have identified the suspect as Amritpal Singh, 21. He is described as having a light brown complexion, short, spiked hair, and a short chin-strap beard.
Police say he may have been driving a black 2014 Chevrolet Cruz with the license plate number BWMA 171 at the time of the incident.
