Police have identified Toronto's 26th murder victim of the year as 19-year-old Claudio Andres Alamos.

Alamos was on Woolner Avenue in Toronto's west end when he was shot at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say he ordered a slice from a pizza parlour just 10 minutes before the shooting and was eating his meal outside the restaurant with an acquaintance when the murder suspect entered the business.

After the suspect exited, he shot Alamos and took off on foot, police said.

Alamos was pronounced dead in hospital. His death was Toronto's third gun-related killing in three days.

Later Sunday, detectives could be seen marking a trail of blood outside a plaza in the Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue area.
