Police have identified a suspect wanted for attempted murder -- and more than 11 other charges -- after a man was critically injured in Scarborough in October.

A 22-year-old man arrived at a hospital in the West Hill neighbourhood, near Lawrence Avenue East and Morningside Avenue, in his vehicle at 8 p.m. on Oct. 8. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and leg, police said.

The victim identified the suspect as 23-year-old Toronto resident Jamion Hines, according to police.

There is no further information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however, police warn that Hines should be considered armed and dangerous. He should not be approached by anyone if he is located, they say.

Hines is wanted for attempted murder and other charges like aggravated assault, failure to comply with probation and knowingly possessing an unauthorized firearm.

He is described as being around five-foot-ten and weighing 190 pounds.

He has a slight beard and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured hooded sweatshirt and black plants.
