THOROLD, Ont. - Niagara regional police have identified the body of a man found in an overflow basin of the Welland Canal.
The body of 26-year-old Arnoldo Arias of Thorold was found in the basin in Thorold on Sunday afternoon.
Police are seeking information about a man who was with Arias in the Front Street and Clairmont Street area of Thorold at 1 a.m. on Sunday.
He's described as 19 to 23 years old, 5-foot-7 with a thin build and was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and a grey toque.
Police say he may be from the Thorold area and goes by the name Jordan.
