LINDSAY, Ont. - Four Toronto-area men are facing charges arising from a home invasion in the Woodville area northwest of Lindsay.

Police say four men drove up to the residence Wednesday, confronted and assaulted two people outside, then dragged them into the home and forcibly confined them.

Investigators say the victims were able to free themselves and call police when the suspects fled after ransacking the home.

One victim was taken to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the second refused medical treatment.

Durham regional police stopped a grey Hummer near Port Perry where the four men were arrested.

Jamie Vincent Francis, 34, Gabriel Francis Sciommarella, 37, and Michael James Powell, 43, all of Toronto, and Robert George Hislop, 44, of Mississauga face a litany of charges, including robbery with violence and forcible confinement.
