Police in Brampton now say six people were seriously hurt in a shootout Saturday morning that left two men dead and authorities on a manhunt for a suspect.

Investigators said Sunday that the two men who died are 40-year-old Terrence Elliott "T-Bone" Hughes and 29-year-old Garth Nicholas Palmer. Both men are from Toronto and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Four other men and two women were treated at local hospitals for non life-threatening gunshot wounds. All but one remain in hospital for treatment.

Peel Regional Police said they need to speak with everyone who was at the house party at 8678 Chinguacousy Road Saturday night.

More than 100 people were at the party when shots rang out just after 5 a.m. but many of them left before police arrived on the scene. The guests who stayed at the party to talk to police were searched on their way out of the house.

"Investigators are urging anyone who was at the scene to contact them, whether or not they believe they have any information to offer," authorities said in a news release Sunday.

Police say they are looking for one suspect but they have a very limited description of what he looks like.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the homicide squad at 905-453-2121 ext. 3205. Anonymous tips can be left with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
