OSHAWA, Ont. -- An online sting operation has led police to charge an Oshawa, Ont., man they allege had conversations that were "sexual in nature" with a teen girl.
Police say the suspect was chatting online with an officer posing as a 15-year-old girl and tried to make arrangements to meet in person.
Police say he went by the usernames "tom" and "tomcat9rr" and was very active online.
Officers arrested a man Thursday and seized a computer and cellphone.
Earl "Tom" Jordan, 62, is charged with two counts of luring and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.
