Barrie police say they have officially ended their ground search for a 15-year-old boy who ran away from home after fighting with his parents over video games.

Authorities say they will now focus their investigation on Brandon Crisp's computer and Xbox. The Ontario Provincial Police is working with Microsoft, which produces the Xbox game console, to identify members of the teen's online gaming clan.

Brandon's parents say they hope it will lead them to someone who has had contact with their son.

The teen went missing on October 13 after arguing with his parents over how much time he was spending on his Xbox.

About 600 people have helped with the ground search, looking through muddy swamps, dense bush and cornfields. Up to 40 square kilometers have been covered by police and volunteers.
