Drivers hoping to pay their respects to the latest Canadian soldier to die in Afghanistan are asked to be cautious on the Highway of Heroes on Tuesday.

The body of Bombardier Karl Manning, who died last Friday in southern Afghanistan, is expected to make the ceremonial journey along Highway 401 Tuesday afternoon.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are reminding motorists taking part in the repatriation ceremony not to stop on the highway's shoulder.

Drivers are asked to drive at the same speed as the OPP vehicles escorting the body along the highway.

Motorists that want to stop and get out of their vehicles are asked to leave the highway at the first available exit and find a safe spot.
