Police in Orillia, Ont., have arrested and charged a local man in connection to the drugging and sexual assault of five children.

The Ontario Provincial Police's child exploitation unit says five children were drugged and sexually assaulted in a Warminster, Ont., residence on several occasions in 2011.

Police also believe a man took photographs of a victim during at least one of the instances.

A suspect was arrested on Feb. 29. Police say there may be more victims associated to the ongoing investigation.

Paul Gerard Devries, 35, of Warminster, Ont., has been charged with one count of making child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography, five counts of sexual assault, five counts of sexual interference and five counts of administering a noxious substance.

He is in custody awaiting a bail hearing on Mar. 9, 2012.
