A home makeover reality show host is no longer charged with extortion, after one of four charges against him was dropped.

A charge of extortion was withdrawn against Anthony Sayers, co-host of "The Unsellables" on HGTV Canada, on Monday.

The 41-year-old is the owner and operator of the general contracting business "Anthony Sayers Custom Builder and Designer."

Sayers was arrested earlier this month after a customer filed several complaints against him.

Police say the Toronto-based contractor was hired by a woman in February to complete renovations on her home.

She claimed the renovations were done in a substandard fashion, and she alleged that she was criminally harassed and subjected to extortion.

Sayers had an extortion charge dropped during a court appearance on Monday.

He remains charged with two counts of criminal harassment and attempted fraud under $5,000.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

The case is expected to return to court on April 7.
