TORONTO -- Olli Jokinen joined the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday unsure just how long he'll be with the club.
On Sunday, Toronto announced it had acquired Jokinen, prospect Brendan Leipsic and a 2015 first-round pick from the Nashville Predators for defenceman Cody Franson and forward Mike Santorelli.
Toronto GM Dave Nonis told reporters Sunday he expects teams to inquire about the 36-year-old Jokinen prior to the March 2 NHL trade deadline.
Jokinen didn't practise with the Leafs on Monday and it's unclear if he'll suit up for the club's home game Tuesday night against Florida.
Despite the uncertainty, Jokinen said he's happy to be in Toronto and with an Original Six franchise.
