TORONTO - The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has asked striking casino employees to return to the bargaining table.

Workers at the Casino Brantford, Sudbury Downs Slots and Woodbine Casino in northwestern Toronto walked off the job earlier this month after labour negotiations broke down.

The Canadian Auto Workers, which represents 700 of the Brantford facility's 1,000 employees, has a number of grievances with the OLG.

The CAW says the OLG wants to increase the number of part-time workers, remove worker input into scheduling and reduce union representation.

The OLG has suggested three days this week to resume negotiations in Brantford.
