A Peel Regional Police officer remains in critical condition after a motorcycle crash near Orangeville Saturday.

Const. Ewa Domagalska was off-duty and riding a motorcycle on Airport Road near Highway 9 when she collided with an SUV.

She was airlifted to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, where she remains on life support.

"It's a very emotional time for both (her) family and the organization," Peel police spokesperson Const. George Tudos told reporters Sunday.

He said Domagalska is surrounded by family members and her colleagues from 11 Division are offering their support.

Another female motorcyclist was also involved in the crash and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was not harmed.

Domagalska has been with Peel Regional Police for several years.
