A man in his 30s is facing four charges following a crash in Etobicoke over the weekend.
Police said the crash happened at Burnhamthorpe Road and the Highway 427 off-ramp on Saturday, just minutes after midnight.
It is alleged that a 31-year-old man was driving an Acura TL eastbound on Burnhamthorpe, when the vehicle collided with a 24-year-old in a Toyota Camry who was merging from the off-ramp. One of the vehicles then caught fire.
The 24-year-old was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, police said 31-year-old Jonathan Gordon of Oakville had been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle causing bodily harm. He was also charged with refusing to provide a breath sample, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
