TORONTO - Spanish forward Miguel Angel Ferrer Martinez will make his Toronto FC debut Wednesday, in an exhibition game against a touring English Premier League team.

The 31-year-old, known as Mista, is expected to play at least a half against the Bolton Wanderers at BMO Field.

"Mista will play 45 minutes, for sure," Toronto coach Predrag (Preki) Radosavljevic said Tuesday.

Toronto announced it had signed Mista on July 6, but the veteran of La Liga was not eligible to play until the international transfer window opened July 15.

Mista has spent his entire career in Spain, most recently with Deportivo La Coruna. He scored 40 goals in 142 appearances over a five-year run with Valencia, from 2001 to 2006.

He has won a pair of caps with Spain's senior team.

"I expect a hard game," Preki said. "Those guys are competing for spots every day. You have a big squad of players, and everybody on that team wants to be on the field."
