Motorcyclist killed in fatal Markham collision identified

Police have identified a male motorcyclist who died following a single-vehicle collision in Markham late Friday night.

Zamir Beckles, 28, was travelling on the Highway 404 northbound ramp to Highway 407 just after 8:30 p.m. Friday night, when he suddenly lost control of his motorcycle.

Beckles was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP say witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist driving erratically before the crash. The impact from the collision split the motorcycle in two.
