A motorcyclist has died following a one-vehicle collision at the Mosport International Raceway located north of Bowmanville.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the raceway said he believed the motorcyclist was taking part in a lapping day, which is simply when a professional group rents the track.
He said the raceway had no additional information and that Durham Regional Police were investigating.
The police have not yet released a statement on the accident or identified the victim.
