A motorcycle rider is dead following a three-vehicle collision on Highway 401 east of Stevenson Road in Oshawa Wednesday morning.
A motorcycle travelling westbound struck the right rear corner of a red Toyota travelling in the left lane. The motorcycle veered into the centre lane and was hit by a tractor-trailer.
A 42-year-old Courtice, Ont. man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
The westbound lanes of the 401 were closed for several hours but all lanes and ramps are now clear.
