Police arrested a Scarborough woman Monday night in connection with the sudden, mysterious death of her toddler in July.

Sabrina Siconolfi, 30, has been charged with manslaughter, months after her two-year-old daughter was found dead in their Victoria Park and Lawrence Avenue apartment.

She also faces charges of criminal negligence causing death, assault causing bodily harm and failing to provide the necessities of life.

The toddler was found with no vital signs around 11 a.m. July 9 and was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide officers were immediately notified, following standard procedure when a child under five is found dead.

An autopsy was performed the next day, but police said the results won't be revealed.

The child's name has not been released.

Siconolfi is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
