ContactKatherine DeClerq is a Multi-Platform Writer, writing local breaking news stories and features for CTV News Toronto, writing news stories as well as updating the station’s social media accounts.
DeClerq is proud to have created a data journalism project about immunization rates in Toronto schools, which featured a series of compelling stories and multiple infographics.
DeClerq has also helped cover the Raptors’ 2019 NBA championship run and worked with Tracy Tong on a series of stories about suicides within the OPP.
DeClerq holds a master’s degree in Journalism from Ryerson University, and a combined bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of Ottawa.
In her spare time, DeClerq is in a running group, which allows her to explore a number of different neighbourhoods within the city of Toronto.
She speaks English and French.
