Janice Golding is a videojournalist at CTV News Toronto, delivering breaking news coverage from across the city. She also serves as a fill-in anchor for the station’s daily newscasts.

With more than 20 years’ experience reporting from the field, Golding has covered countless major stories making headlines in Southern Ontario over the last two decades. She approaches newsgathering with dogged determination when required, but is also known for treating the vulnerable with sensitivity and compassion when on duty.

Golding began her career as a videographer with the New RO in Ottawa, then moved to CKWS News in Kingston, where she hosted a newsmagazine program and anchored the station’s late-night newscast.

Since joining CTV News Toronto in August 2000, shehas also served as a fill-in anchor on CTV News Channel, hosted summer editions of Discovery Channel’s DAILY PLANET, and hosted several seasons of Discovery International’s science program CONNECT.

Golding holds a Masters in Journalism from Carleton University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from the University of Toronto.

Golding is passionate about her family and everything that comes with motherhood. Raised in the small town of Cochrane, Ont., she enjoys reading, painting, camping, hiking, and all things outdoors. She also holds a brown belt in taekwondo.

She speaks English, French, and a bit of Spanish.
