Austin Delaney is a familiar face on CTV NEWS TORONTO,having been a part of the reporting team for Toronto’s #1 Newscast since 1989. Today, Austin works as a general assignment reporter, covering the top stories of the day.

Over the years Delaney has reported on a variety of beats from politics at Queen’s Park to the criminal courts, where he covered such trials as the Karla Homolka trial and the Tori Stafford murder trial.

Prior to joining CTV News, Delaney could be heard reporting for several local radio stations, including CFTR, CKEY and CHFI. For two years he was the Queen’s Park reporter for CFNY-FM and before that, Austin was a national newscaster for the Newsradio Network.

Delaney is a graduate of Humber College’s Radio Broadcasting program, and is the winner of several broadcasting awards including Toronto, Peel, and York Police awards for reporting. He has also won two Edward R. Murrow awards for best spot news.
