Boutique robbery caught on camera A boutique in Montreal’s Mile End was broken into and robbed a week before Christmas.

The owner of a boutique in Montreal’s Mile End is feeling her community’s support after her shop was broken into and robbed a week before Christmas.

Designer Jennifer Glasgow’s runs the boutique that bears her name and said the robbery at her shop was one of several in the area.

"With four days left before Christmas, it is, it was pretty devastating," Glasgow told CTV News on Friday.

Montreal police (SPVM) said that the business’s alarm prompted officers to respond shortly after 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived they found signs of a break in, but the suspects had fled. The officers contacted Glasgow, who found footage of the break in on her shop's surveillance cameras.

"It's as if they knew exactly where they were going in the store," said Glasgow. "Within a minute and 39 seconds, they were in and out."

She shared the footage on her Instagram page.

“While it seems the thieves were targeting other businesses nearby, they accidentally broke into our space instead,” she said. “Most of our jewelry and several coats, bags, and sunglasses were stolen.”

Glasgow estimages that between $8,000 and $9,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. She said on Friday that support has come from across the country with people donating items and offering to help.

“Just feeling the support is pretty amazing,” she said.

Glasgow is asking those who know anything about the robbery to reach out.
