Matt Gilmour

Matt Gilmour is an anchor and video journalist with CTV Montreal. He is passionate about reporting on economic and affordability issues. Matt moved to Montreal from Vancouver in 2009 to study Political Science and Business Management at McGill University. He fell in love with journalism at Concordia University, and in 2016, won the Gordon Fisher Prize for most outstanding Graduate Student in the Journalism Diploma Program. While at Concordia, Matt was part of the team behind the award-winning investigative series ‘Price of Oil’, which examined the hidden costs of Canada’s oil industry. Before moving to CTV Montreal, Matt was a reporter/producer at CJAD 800, where he woke up far too early, and covered everything from city hall to spring floods.
