A portion of Yonge Street that was closed over the weekend a building's façade collapsed reopened to vehicle traffic Monday.

Yonge Street between Gould and Dundas streets was closed to traffic all weekend after part of the brick façade at Yonge and Gould streets crashed to the sidewalk Friday, shocking passersby and closing nearby businesses.

Gould Street remains closed at Yonge, but Yonge Street has reopened to traffic with one lane in each direction.

Engineers are expected back at the site today to conduct more tests to determine whether the 120-year-old building is safe.

Crews worked to clean up the debris over the weekend.

On Friday, sniffer dogs were brought to check the debris for anyone who might have been trapped. No one was injured in the incident.
