BARRIE, Ont. - A central Ontario woman is facing a charge for making an allegedly inappropriate gesture to an officer after receiving a speeding ticket Wednesday morning.

Provincial police allege the woman became "verbally offensive" after being charged with travelling 46 km/h over the posted speed limit on 20th Sideroad east of Barrie, Ont.

Police say she turned her vehicle around after getting the ticket and gestured at the officer, who stopped her again and issued another ticket.

Dyane Carson, 37, of Tosorontio is charged with speeding and making an improper arm signal.

The combined offences carry a fine of $451 on conviction.
