Authorities issued a Canada-wide warrant for a Toronto man after police received reports of a domestic dispute involving a handgun early Monday morning.

Officers responded to an emergency call in the area of Keele Street and Falstaff Avenue, shortly before 1 a.m.

Police say they spotted a suspect fleeing the scene on foot. After a brief foot chase, police formed a perimeter and combed the scene with search dogs.

The search was unsuccessful but police say a 9-millimetre handgun was recovered at the scene.

Flynt Anthony Ricketts, 25, is wanted for numerous firearms-related offenses in regards to the incident.

He is described as back, five-foot-eight, 145 pounds with black hair.
