A trust fund has been set up for the family of a 19-year-old who died of stab wounds after an incident at an Etobicoke high school earlier this week.
Hamid Aminzada was stabbed while trying to break up a fight between two students at North Albion Collegiate Institute on Tuesday afternoon.
Aminzada's father described the teen as hardworking and dedicated at school and with his family.
"He didn’t only help at school, he was helping at home with his mother, his aunt and his uncle," Sabir Aminzada said through a translator on Wednesday.
The money raised from the trust fund will cover the costs of the student's funeral and other expenses related to his death.
Donations can be made at CIBC locations under the student's father's name, Sabir Aminzada, using transit number 03522 and account number 8012598.
