Peel Regional Police say they have arrested a 14-year-old suspect in connection with two sexual assaults that took place at a Brampton park in May.

Police say a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while walking on a pathway in Brampton’s Holmes Channel Park on May 13.

Investigators say a 22-year-old female was also sexually assaulted while walking in the same area on May 28.

Police say both attacks occurred at around 4 p.m. and the suspect description in both cases were similar.

Officers said a 14-year-old youth was arrested by the Special Victim’s Unit on Saturday and charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of forcible confinement and uttering threats.

The suspect has been held in custody and will appear at a Brampton court on June 8.

The name of the suspect has been withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
