Peel police have charged three 17-year-old males in connection with a late-night melee in Brampton that left one of the accused stabbed.
Const. Wayne Patterson told ctvtoronto.ca that police were called to a Torrance Woods residence, near Chinguacousy Road and Steeles Avenue West, just before 11 p.m. on Friday.
When officers arrived at the scene, they learned that a group of teens had been involved in an altercation.
A 17-year-old stabbing victim was found several blocks away from the Torrance Woods address and police say he was involved in the altercation. He suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive, Patterson said.
Police believe a group of at least five teens went to the residence to confront another individual, which sparked the altercation.
Three teens now face charges, including the victim.
