A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a single-vehicle accident that left her trapped briefly in her vehicle in the city's north end Sunday afternoon.
The woman's car slammed into a pole on Brimley Road near Steeles Avenue east around 5:15 p.m., trapping her inside her vehicle.
Rescue crews extricated the woman from the vehicle before sending her to Scarborough Grace Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The road was closed for nearly three hours while police investigated.
