Toronto police have released security camera images of two suspects following an attempted armed robbery at a temple in the city’s east end Sunday night.

Police say a disguised man and woman entered the Hindu temple located in the Kennedy Road and McNicoll Avenue area at around 9 p.m.

Once inside, the woman attempted to zip tie and duct tape a victim while pointing a gun at him. At the same time, police say the armed man tried to round up others present in the temple.

One person was able to escape and call 911, police say.

Both suspects fled the scene empty-handed prior to police arriving.

On Wednesday, police released security cameras of the pair.

The woman is described as white, 25 to 30 years old, five-foot-two and 110 pounds.

She was last seen wearing black clothing and a Yukon-style black and beige hat.

The man is described as black, 25 to 30 years old, five-foot-seven, 150 pounds, with facial hair.

He was last seen wearing an inside-out jacket and beige pants.
