Police have placed a Richmond Hill man on a wanted list of international fugitives for his connection to a homicide that happened two years ago.

Zaki Goffur, 34, is now on Interpol's "Red Notice" list -- a comprehensive registry of fugitives worldwide.

The announcement comes two years after the bodies of Puneet Singh Chhina, 26, of Ottawa and Harjinder Singh Sandhu, 28, of Brampton were found shot and beaten in the trunk of a rental car that was abandoned on the side of the road in Pickering, Ont.

Durham Police are searching for Goffur on a warrant for accessory after the fact to murder.

Other charges have been laid in connection with the double homicide.

Vijay Singh, 29, and John Le, 38, face two counts each of first-degree, kidnapping, forcible confinement and using a firearm.

Singh faces 34 additional charges related to a cache of firearms and explosive material discovered at a storage facility in Scarborough, Ont.

Ganesh Singh, 56, of Markham is also charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Det. Darren Short or Det. Mitch Martin of the Durham police's homicide unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5407.
