Toronto police are seeking five suspects in connection with a New Year's Eve sexual assault on two women at a downtown hotel.

Police said Monday the two women went out to enjoy New Year's Eve and returned to their hotel in the Yonge Street and Bloor Street area at approximately 3:10 a.m.

"They were accompanied by five unknown men they met at the function," police said in a news release.

Police allege the five men sexually assaulted the two women before they left the hotel.

A Toronto police spokesperson told ctvtoronto.ca that she didn't have any further information.

Police have given the following descriptions of the suspects:

  1. brown, 28-31, 5'9", skinny build, clean-shaven, brown eyes, black hair in a faux-hawk style. He was wearing black dress pants, a black blazer, white dress shirt, black skinny tie, black pointy dress shoes and a "D&G" belt
  2. brown, 28-31, brown eyes, unshaven, 5'7"-5'8", black hair in a faux-hawk style. He was wearing a black blazer, pink v-neck, fuchsia shirt and black dress pants
  3. brown, 28-31, 5'9", brown eyes with short, dark, brown hair combed back. He was wearing a grey suit with a white dress shirt
  4. dark brown, 28-31, brown eyes, slim build, black hair in a faux-hawk style. He was wearing black dress pants and a white dress shirt

There is no description for the fifth suspect.

Meanwhile, police are also searching for a man suspected of attacking an 18-year-old woman in the Chaplin Crescent and Eglinton Avenue West area in the early-morning hours of Jan. 1.

Police say the woman had exited a TTC bus and was walking home when a man approached and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

"The suspect ... appears to be Asian, in his early 20s, 5'4" to 5"6", thin build, very short dark hair (buzz cut) and spoke with a slight accent. He was wearing a nylon windbreaker-type jacket and jean," police said.

In the Yonge-Bloor incident, potential witnesses are asked to call 416-808-7474. In the Chaplin-Eglinton incident, they are asked to call 416-808-5300.
