Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a bank in north Oshawa on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at TD Bank in the Ritson Road and Beatrice Street area. A male suspect walked into the bank and demanded cash from a teller while holding a knife, police said.

Cash was handed over and the suspect fled the bank on foot, according to officers who responded to the call.

The suspect was last seen running across Ritson Road North and then going westbound on a foot path south of Pentland Avenue.

A K-9 Unit searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

Police said the suspect was described as a black man who was about five-feet-eight inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black t-shirt, tan pants, a black balaclava and white gloves.
