A man who was shot multiple times inside a northwest Toronto apartment building early Saturday is expected to recover, police say.

The shooting occurred at a building at 2737 Kipling Ave., just south of Steeles Avenue West, around 2:15 a.m.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Police said the victim isn't co-operating with investigators. No arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating a shooting that occurred inside the Mint Club at 173 Eglington Ave. E. near Mount Pleasant Road.

No one was injured when a man fired at least one shot after an altercation involving two women shortly before 3 a.m., police said.

One of the women apparently suffered an injury to her forehead in the fight and fled in a taxi.
