A pedestrian has died after he was struck by a vehicle on a highway outside Bradford, north of Toronto.
York Regional Police say the victim was struck in the southbound lane of Highway 11 near Canal Road, between Newmarket and Bradford at about 6 a.m. Thursday. The victim died at the scene.
The incident happened just outside Bradford near a stretch of motels.
Police have identified the man as a 47-year-old from Windsor.

A stretch of Highway 11 was closed off for several hours for the police investigation.
The investigation is expected to last until late afternoon.
