MISSISSAUGA, Ont. -- A pedestrian has died after being hit by a GO Train in Mississauga.

Peel police Const. Thomas Ruttan says the person was struck by a train around 1:20 p.m. today east of Clarkson Station along the Lakeshore West line.

GO Train service between Oakville and Port Credit stations has been temporarily suspended.

Trains are continuing to run between Oakville and Aldershot stations, and between Union and Port Credit stations.

GO shuttle busses are running between Oakville and Port Credit stations.

Ruttan says it's not yet known whether the pedestrian was killed at a rail crossing.
